About Marty

Marty and her team at Britton Management Profiles (BMP) have helped thousands of companies over fifty years know who they are hiring.

Marty left civil engineering and took over BMP when her father, David G. Britton, became ill in 1994. At that time, BMP was an investigative and executive reference checking business. Over the decades, Marty & her team have continued to add pre-employment screening services to make sure their clients hire the right candidate—the first time.

She’s an active member of the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), where she is a past-chair of the Canadian board. 

She is also a proud member of the Women Presidents Organization. BMP is a certified member of both WBE Canada and WEConnect International.

Marty lives in Toronto with her husband Ed. She’s prouder of her two adult children than anything else, including the company she has steered for three decades. She’s an avid walker and enjoys being outside, especially on a golf course. She also loves a good book and spending time with family and friends at their cottage in Prince Edward County.

I, as the company’s president and CEO, have found myself in a kind of ambassadorial position for the industry.
